Yuki Tanaka started Prow Core Lab in 2019 after spending six years as a fit technician for a mid-market apparel brand in Osaka. The job was to make clothes look good on a sample size. What it taught her was how rarely that translated to the actual range of bodies buying the product. She left in the spring of 2019 and spent the following eight months sourcing fabric and testing prototypes before the first collection went live.

Yuki Tanaka trained as a fit technician at a mid-market apparel company in Osaka, where she spent six years grading patterns and running fit sessions across womenswear categories. She left in 2019 to start Prow Core Lab after becoming frustrated with how rarely standard sizing worked for the people actually buying the clothes. She sources fabric herself, visits the Fukui mill once a year, and still wears every new sample before it goes into production. Outside the studio, she runs long distances on weekend mornings and keeps a detailed notebook of every fit change made across each batch.
Our sizing guide lists body measurements in centimetres for each size from XS to 3XL. If you are between sizes, we recommend going up rather than down. The fabric has enough stretch to accommodate, and a slightly larger size will not gap or sag. Yes. Unworn pieces in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or an exchange. We ask that you do not remove the hygiene seal if you are planning to return. Exchanges for a different size are free; return shipping for a refund is at the customer's cost.
